In her career she has worked in various mental health facilities, including acute hospitals as well as community mental health teams as well as Adolescent units. Dr Jemma A Theivendran

Dr Jemma theivendran has vast experience working in both the NHS and private sector. She has a particular interest in young people with complex mental health issues, especially eating disorders. Additionally, she is a consultant psychiatrist for children and adolescents at Richmond Court, a specialist adolescent mental health inpatient treatment for young people.

After finishing her studies at Imperial College London, Jemma completed her psychiatry education at St Mary's and Charing Cross hospital training programmes. She also completed training in Mentalisation Based Therapy and Dialetical Behavioural Therapy. She has been consultant psychiatrist in various settings which included a forensic low secure unit as well as an acute assessment ward. She recently joined full-time employment as consultant Psychiatrist at COAST Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and is Section 12 (2) Approved.
